The Ukrainian presidential election runoff is valid and the results will be announced in line with the law, the head of the Central Electoral Commission, Volodymyr Shapoval, said at a press conference in Kyiv today. "The runoff is valid," he said.

"The second round got under way smoothly, without blatant violations of public order," Volodymyr Mayevskiy, the head of the Ukrainian Interior Ministry's public safety department, told a news conference in Kyiv today.

2009-2010 Parliamentary and Executive Internship Program Opening Ceremony

Volodymyr Yalovyi, Deputy Secretary General of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, and James Pettit, US Chargé d’Affaires in Ukraine, handed interns i.d cards to 86 Program participants of the 2009-2010 Parliamentary Internship Program.

It was the 15th year of the IP operation in Ukraine. Over nine months, students from various regions get internship with 28 parliamentary committees and departments, 6 ministries and the Secretariat of the President of Ukraine.
